Electic Forums: Can you say Anandtech Copycat?

How do you make .pdf's?

I use PDF distiller. It is a program that easily converts any document to PDF format. You install the application as a printer, and then, in your respective program, you can "print" to distiller. Bingo, you have a PDF file! Mine came with adobe pagemaker. I'm sure you can find it on...

IRQ HELL

Yes, IRQ steering is the same thing as IRQ routing, but Windows 98 implmentation of it is basic, at best, compoared to Win2k. I can almost guarentee, that if you fill all your slots in your m0b0, Win98 will not be able to handle it all, only Win2k will (mind you, with tweaking).

Cure's For Hang-Over's ... got any?

Cure's For Hang-Over's ... got any?

I'm going to be going to Cuba for two weeks and, obivously, will be drinking my face off. I need ideas for quick recover of, or cure's of, hang-overs. Home remidies, naturally, medicinally, etc. Need all your ideas!

IRQ HELL

If you are using every avaible slot in the MoBo in Win98, it won't work. I doesn't matter what MoBo your using. Windows 98 doesn't have advanced IRQ routing, only Win2k does. That's the only OS that'll work.

AGP Card shuts off as windows boots

How big is your power supply. I know with a Geforce 2 GTS, it sucks alot more juice then a TNT original. Make sure you have atleast a 250 Watt(preferably 300 Watt) power supply. It might be that the PS is browning out on the video, causing it to blank out completely.

NT not able to read Fat32?

If you were to do that, when you were prompted to choose what partition you want NT to reside on, the FAT32 partition would either A. Not show up B. Be an unrecognized partition Both ways, you couldn't install it. You can't "trick" NT into installing on something it doesn't, and will...

After I installed my Linksys Ethernet card my PC....

You'll run into this problem with Win9X boxes. What it does, on bootup it quieres for a network connnection. That's why it takes longer. Usually, if you hook up a network cable to each card, it won't take as long.
