No but he is talking about running dual instances on a single core machine, it's a bit more stressful on the system.....

Yeah, I would go with the XP-90 with a low or medium speed Panaflo fan, when people say these fans are good, they really mean it.....

And don't use Corsair memory, go to dfi-street.com and yoyu will see why........ DFI has specifically said it doesn't validate it's boards with Corsair memory, many times it won't even POST, you are lucky it actually works.... And DFI only guarantees it's boards if you are using a 24-pin...

Wrong, it's -1 TCCD -2 UTT -3 General purpose All DFI boards have their PCI frequency locked at factory.....

Thinking about widescreen...2405fpw possibly?

The reason to get the 2005fpw is because it's widescreen, and it offers much higher resolution, 1680x1050 compared to 1280x1024...

BF2 performance..

I tried the Hardware mode, I don't know what it does exactly, but it makes the audio lag horribly. And the software mode gives every sound an echo.

Power supply questions

Maybe if you get a quad Opteron setup with 2 7800GTX's in SLI and 4 SCSI 15k Seagate Cheetah's, then you might need 600watts, I would be scared of such a computer though....
