whats the advantage of PCI-express over AGP?

It still wouldn't be ideal. Any high performance game (ie. FPS) would still want to stay within the bounds of the onboard video RAM because while PCI-Express is fast, it's still a turtle compared to video RAM. I could see it have some use with MMORPGs, since textures are generally more compact...

Thoughts on the Lian Li PC-V2000

I wouldn't say it's smart. Anyone with a bit of knowledge in thermal dynamics could completely redesign a motherboard layout to fit a better cooling solution. The really inguinuitive solutions are the ones that make better cooling setups with the current aging and static ATX form factor.

Submerging your mainboard in dihydrogen oxide

A lot of people do that actually, even those who don't use any sort of condensers and such. It helps prevent anything from growing and also adds a little color (with the right lighting, looks pretty spiffy). I think most HardOCP'ers that are really into watercooling use a 1:1 mix.

AMD "sells out" of 2800+.....HUH????????

Well, AMD can't just up and get better marketting. The reason why Intel has such great marketting is because they have a great deal more cash to spend on it than AMD. Comparing them to BitBoys is a bit harsh. Those guys haven't even reached A0 silicon with any product... ever.

what tool does everyone use to push the dam retention clip down?

Motherboards have a protective layer over the traces which make it much more resistant to slight nicking and shorting, usually hitting it with the screwdriver while installing the heatsink isn't too much of a problem (unless you REALLY smack that sucker), so don't pee your pants over it. But...
