Both of my two friends who are using M1 have different experience.
One with with a MBA and one with a MBP. Both of them have scrolling lag while browsing.
And if you google it, its a common issue.
It seems the activation of performance cores is not optimized and that the ultra efficient cores...
As title says, when using Wireguard the forum simply goes into a 502 too many redirect loops.
I can understand this would be done for some security reason, but I travel a lot for work and obviously using a VPN on a public wifi is considered best practice
After all these years, I am finally going back to Thinkpad. I never had a brand preference and would usually move in the direction of the sweet spot, which was for me a premium laptop build quality around 1k$
I had X and then T series laptops.
Then switched to the Macbook Air, since nothing...
Well I gotta ask you a quick question first ;) Building a new rig atm, so why did u choose the 7950 over the 7850 ? Is the price difference worth it? Thx.
PS: also did u have any preference with the XFX brand?
Yes I was already going to buy the basic X200 at first but it doesn't have a wide "+" screen with LED... Some small improvements for the x200S version too..
Thanks for the answers.
I am an electronic technician so it wont be a problem to open up and change the cpu. Basically my concern was about the compatibility.
The SL9400 that comes with the laptop is rated at 17watts for 1.86ghz... I want to switch for a P8700 for example wich is rated...
I am going to buy a thinkpad and I would like to change myself the cpu for something like the P8400. Is it possible? Did someone here already changed his cpu on a intel laptop?
Here are the specs,

Like someone said above, I dont think its possible to have a SLC (fast write) chip on something bigger than 8GB.
An other problem with flash drives is that the bigger it is the slower it is, indepedantly of the technology. You guys should post your discovery about higher capacity flash drives...
Hey thanks for the input. Yeah thats why the Voyager GT is hard to find. I think any 16GB flash usbs needs to use MLC chips, 8GB is the limit for SLC.
Slower (and cheaper) flash usbs are MLC at 8GB wich explains a write of 9~13mb/s in the Xporter XT and Rally 2.
The 16GB Voyager GT is not...
Quick reply to myself here, found 2 other interesting options :
- Corsair actually have a little bit cheaper GT model, the Flash Voyager GT wich could be interesting at 8GB
- OCZ has something interesting too, the Rally 2. It beats the Xporter XT ...
I think the Corsair "GT" line is the fastest but its hard to find and very expansive.
I almost pulled the trigger on a Patriot Xporter XT, wich seems to be a good compromise between speed (13mb write and 22mb read) and price per GB.
