My roommate said the same thing. He's better at electrical part than I am. He's gonna measure the voltage for me when he gets home. I hope it's the PSU not the motherboard.
I shorted out the Bios and nothing happen. Power button and reset button don't work at all. I have to turn it on and off from the switch on Power supply.
I unplugged all the hard drive except the one with operating system. Pretty much leaving just one hard drive, swap the memory around. Still...
I came home one night and my PC was on. I know I shut of it before I left.
I tried to power it off but it doesn't work. I hit the reset button nothing happen.
I have to unplug the power to get it to shut off.
I knew we had thunder storm that night. I don't know how the PC turn on by itself...
No, there's only two.
I should have gone in further when I drag the files over to my flash key.
I think I messed up saving them.
But what puzzle me was that a lot of folder was empty but
the folder said 1.54gb.
When I double click on All users folder all I see was ntuser.dat file in there that's it.
When I do the properties of Documents and settings (which contains Administrator and all users folder)
the file said 1.54GB.
I would assume all the stuff would be under all user which in this case he...
I was unable to boot to one of the PC that my friend asked me to look at.
I got corrupt or missing files. He wanted me to format the hard drive anyway and see if
I can save some file from there first.
I removed the hard drive and hook it up to my machine.
I went into all users folder and...
How about this
Xantrex XP-SOLAR 400-Watt Powerpack Solar Power Inverter
I was looking at my Macbook adapter and it said output 16.5V
so this thing might not be enough then.
OK.
I was thinking of getting one of these.
TALCO 22 WATT PORTABLE SOLAR CHARGER
I have a DC/AC converter that I picked up which plug into cigarette lighter and it has the
outlet where I can plug my Ipod or laptop to run from it.
Will this thing work with that?
Or are there any better...
I don't think this fanless is working out good. When I was burning movie and surf the internet. System freezes up. and the temp shoot up to like 120F
I guess I have to put my old fan back in.
I just replaced my AMD 6000+ CPU Fan with Zero Therm fanless.
I want to know what is the normal temp for CPU while it's running doing normal task.
I'm not overclocking my CPU by the way.
right now it's reading 108F and 109F on both cores respectively.
Thanks
I was just happen to have extra CPU. I swapped that and it wasn't it. I pulled one the memory out and leave one in and even try them all on different slot, still no luck.
My next move would be video card and hard drive. It's a socket A motherboard.
It would be looking for a needle in haystack...
When I turn on the system all I hear is the long steady beep for couple second and nothing shows up on screen.
I cleared the Bios and nothing happen.
is my motherboard fried? or the hard drive failed.
Thanks
I have a slim drive DVD burner hanging around and I want to use it on my current ATX case.
Is there an adapter out there that I can slip the burner into and mount it on my ATX case with IDE connector.
Where can I get it and how do they call such hardware?
Thanks.
