Edit - and now checking order status within my account area at bestbuy.com shows the order as 'Completed' (with UPS tracking indicating that 'Billing information has been sent to UPS'.)

According to my manual (on page 16) it states that it's the Black SATA ports that are controlled by the Intel ICH7DH and the Blue are the Marvell ones.
Gary - given that you have seen the final production hardware, could you very briefly comment on whether the L775 socket is still located very high up on the PCB (whereby the upper 2 mounting holes are extremely close to the edge - as shown in photo at the below link)...
Not sure if you know but the SP-97 is now end-of-life, shortly to be replaced by the SI-97 which according to Thermalright slightly outperforms the SP-97 despite being primarily manufactured from Alumin(i)um (Copper base & heatpipes excepted).
This is incorrect.
Although in the months that followed the X800 release, many retailers were omiting the 'PE' portion of the X800XT PE as they had no need to further distinguish between cards ("X800Pro" and "X800XT" being distinct enough).
At the time this didn't cause any undue confusion...
