According to ECS, "the integrated WiFiTM -compliant wireless LAN available as configurable option, 802.11b:11Mbps or 802.11g:54Mbps". So the laptop has 4 USB 2.0 connections, 1Gb NIC and 802.11g !!
I've just bought it guys. Can't beat the price, I added 90 bucks for 2-year extended guarantee. The integrated wireless LAN is nice. Wondering if one can buy one of those AMD mobiles 2400+ and upgrade it. For web surfing and MS Office work that's all I need.
I have burned over 250 DVD-R's, ALL Princo and not a single problem !! The oldest ones are about 1-year old and still play well in all of my 3 DVD players. Why spend more money for some "higher" quality disks ?
I looked into this service but so far I'm still hesitating to sign up for several reasons:
1/I'm running a FTP server and what would happen to the voice quality under relatively heavy traffic ?
2/How about voice quality when I download some large files ?
3/I probably have to switch to cordless...
I went for the 1800+. 12 bucks is nothing. The 15 multiplier and overclocking with PC2100 are the major plusses. You'll need very good memory to o/c the 1600+ and the 1700+. Unless you already have a good mobo and PC2700 memory.
I still have the PC2100 memory so the t-bred 1800+ is the better option for me. It's unlocked and the multiplier can get as high as 15 so you can run 15x133=1995 MHz. The 512 MB PC2700 would cost more than the CPU!
Don't let the $179 list price fool you. It will be $99.99 at the check-out. Ask the guy to double check the price for you on the phone before you go there. I've just bought one @ $99.99
