Fair enough... I'm in the Chicago-area... but I've had FWD and RWD cars for the past 20+ years and all-season tires and had no issues. They salt roads heavily here - so probably not a fair comparison to being a little farther out in the country or less urban area... or for folks who have to...

Just came back from a trip....rental car was a Chevrolet Trax... I get in the car, there were 6 miles on the odometer, protective plastic still on the radio/bluetooth/etc. screen... so looks like I was driver #1... I'll say first off that I've never been an SUV-guy. I have a hard time...

Whatever happened to the engine additive - PROLONG??

Unrelated to prolong but continuing the theme of additives, etc... I've stopped visiting car enthusiast sites/forums as frequently, but from the little I still do, it seems like the "seafoam will fix everything" craze has subsided a bit too...

It is possible that a nerve is being compressed due to the swelling and as that internal swelling subsides, the numbness wears off.

I hate to say it - but I think you may well have nerve damage. The doc may tell you it's parasthesia - and that the nerve will recover after some time - but it may also have been damaged to the point where it does not. I wish you the best with it. Edit: PM if you want more info.

08 Tribeca - Brief rattle during acceleration...

+1 to something like this... I have a rattle on my 525i that shows up right around 1.5k RPMs and lasts maybe 1 second.. mostly shows up under light acceleration - it sounds like the underbody plastic engine shield or something resonating, at least I like believe that's all it is :D...
