If default TDP is actually more like 250W (not 350W), then my guess is that NV designed their reference 3090 so that enthusiasts who edit their BIOS to remove power limits won't kill their board?
Also guessing that NV demo holodeck will require 3090.
And that NV will suggest boosting power...
I'm guessing NV knows that anyone willing and able to buy a 3090 would never put up with loud fans. So what if they worked out how to make this funky cooler silent?
Me too. Since sTRX40 with 4 double-width GPUs may need XL-ATX (e.g. TRX40 aorus xtreme / manual), I regret giving away my Silverstone TJ11.
Anyone know if Lian Li's PC-O11 Dynamic XL will fit the Aorus Xtreme? Looks like all four x16 PCIe slots are shifted down the board, so slots may not line...
Could AMD switch a couple of those EPYC chiplets for co-processors?
Replacing some of those 64 Rome cores wth 64-bit tensor.cores could give them a dgemm monster.
Or they could drop in a couple of ray-tracing chiplets for real ray-tracing.
Work-stations done right?
