Because of the following reasons:
1) I could get a higher resolution (1080i) using component,
with VGA I am limited to 1280x768 (max supported pc resolution by HDTV).
2) I was told I could upscale my videos using ffdshow. (I am not sure about this.)
3) Overall the picture quality...
well, odd in the sense that when the HDTV was displaying the desktop through the VGA connection the picture was bright, sharp and
the color was very good but when I changed it to component out at 1080i the display was darker and the color looked dull.

My Sony Bravia HDTV has component inputs but no HDMI or DVI inputs and i would like to connect Nvidia 8800 GT to it using component cables.
I plan on using the HDTV adapter that came with the card. I tried some very cheap cables but the colour was odd and the picture dark...

Please do not mind me asking, if I had to connect those two white molex connectors to what would I connect them? Maybe to the 4 pin molex connectors that came with the psu.
