Hey Pabster i'm curious your XP1900+ @ 2100+ is a athon 1600 OCed to ?? The way your quoting your OC makes people think your achieving a 200 mhz OC when its really a 100 mhz isn't it ??

My speakers crackle and pop everytime I turn off the light

Go pickup a line conditioner that will filter out the power to your speaker system. They have them at Radio Shack and most Audio stores.

which is better, Polk or Bose speakers?

I'll have to agree with Sugadaddy on this one. Try the other brands that he listed. I'm partial to Klipsch myself I have the Promedia 5.1s on my PC and a full Synergy series in my Livingroom SF-2 mains, SC-1 Center, SS-1 suurounds and a KSW-15 Sub. The sound in music and movies in nothing short...

Coolbit and XP..anyone?

I'm using coolbits in XP. You have to enter it manually the little file won't do it.

What piece of hardware has caused you the MOST headaches in the past year or two?

Well I would have to say my Classic Athlon 500 with a Asus K7M motherboard and then the Abit board I replaced that with. The system refused to run stable period mark.

What P4 Chipset would you use?

Athlon4all I'm not sure why your so suprised with everyone choosing I850. I can't remember anyone saying that they had it and didn't love it. Also most all of us are already running at dam near PC 1000 with are easy overclocks. Most people are willing to pay a few bucks more for a sure thing :)
