Do you not believe Nvidia has working finfet gpus? With P100 in mass production and shipping in June in the DGX-1? When did it become a thing that companies need to demo future products for them to be real? Someone needs to tell Intel, Apple etc. they need to get with the program and start...

Control thermostat program with outdoor sensor

How bout using a simple Honeywell aquastat model 1018 and breaking Y between your air handler and tstat through the "opens on temp rise" terminals of the aquastat. I believe the temp range is 65 to 200F. Only issue would be if the tstat calls for cooling it will kick the fan on regardless of...

Fair enough. But someone like me who plays at 2560x1440 on a gtx 970 I'm already pushing close to 4gb on many games, I can't see myself upgrading to a card 40 to 50% faster with the same vram. Maybe your right about these cards arent strong enough to push 4k, other resolutions like 1440/1600p...

Fury X is a good card. But when it didn't meet the insane hype, people will grasp any positive they can find to justify it like crossfire performance at 4k while ignoring everything else like future vram needs for 4k or overclocking potential.

Wrong. When the titan came out 6 gb was excessive, games weren't using anything close to 6gb(just like the 12gb titan X is now) and everyone knew it. A better example is the 2gb 680 vs the 3gb 7970, when the 680 came out reviews didn't show it to be a problem (similar to fury x now) but games...

If I'm going to buy a $650 flagship card, I'll be buying it to play games a year or two out and seeing that games are pushing 4gb now I would feel much better with the 6gb 980ti. Especially if I was going sli/crossfire.

It's best to ignore them. Same people were claiming 4gb of vram would be a fail for fury x when the "8gb dual link interposer" rumors were the running rampant, yet now 4gb is no problem.

+1 RS constantly ignores the 970 which competes head on with AMD's 290/290x for a reasonable price, the 980 is just a money grab for people wanting a bit more.
