My buddy is looking into getting this case for his new gaming rig. Would you recommend it for a full ATX mobo + Geforce 770GTX? I read the review on Anandtech and it seems like space might be an issue with this case.
Any recommendations?
So I'm thinking of getting an Ideapad Y500.
How big of a difference will a 6mb cache make versus 3mb on the CPU? Will it make a difference in music production or DJing?
It's mainly a desktop replacement. I want a 15" screen because anything smaller than that is too small in my opinion.
I'll mostly be doing light stuff like email, facebook, MS Office-type stuff, but I may want to use it for music production down the line. I don't play too many video games but...
I need a laptop. This will be my first laptop purchase so I'm kinda going in blind. Anyways I'll get right to it. I need something that is:
-at least a 15 inch screen
-powerful enough to playback HD videos (this might be a redundant requirement. Not sure how powerful GPUs are in laptops...
Well the mass effect 3 demo ran fine perfectly. Skyrim played well too, although obviously not at hih settings. Deus Ex Human Rev was acceptable too.
And I dont plan on upgrading any time soon. I barely game as is now so no point in shelling out a grand for a new pc.
Thanks for he...
Hmm...so what cards should I be looking at that are as good or better than my 9800GT? I really don't wanna spend more than $100 if I don't have to, but I'm definitely not downgrading.
So i need a recommendation for a new card. Something cheap but that also performs. My PC isnt anywhere near new (CPU: CORE2DUO E8400@3GHZ w/ 4GB of RAM) so I ddfinitely dont want or need a n expensive id card. Pkus most modern games still run fine on my system (from what little games i do play)...
Yea the boxee box is waaay more expensive though. If I had a wireless router then maybe i'd go for it, but on its own the boxee box would be useless without wifi :-\
So we have media players like the Patriot Box Office, Asus O!Play Air, and WDTV Live.
I'm reading reviews but they're all dated. I had the Asus Air but returned it at the beginning of the year because it was very unresponsive, and it wouldn't even connect to my network.
What are the best...
Christmas is coming up early and I wanna get something for my parents so that they can take advantage of their new HDTV. I purchased the Asus Air Play (or whatever they call that p.o.s) when the first got the TV and returned it the next day because it was a complete joke of a device. A shame...
270 is the MAX. i'd obviously want to spend as little as possible, ie. Get the best bang for my buck. Games i played recently: mass effect 2, fallout, cod, starcraft 2. What gpu would suit my system best? As for ssd: i'll wait a little longer for the prices to drop.
i would say it's limited. I don't want to spend money on things i don't really need, so i'm not really sure i need an ssd yet as they're still pretty expensive per GB. So that leaves the gpu and a possible ram upgrade. What are my options for vid card and what ram speeds should i be looking at...
So I'm thinking of taking advantage of some of the deals coming up this Christmas season and thought I would upgrade some components in my PC. I'm still on socket 775 and I intend to stick with it for another 2 years at least. I'm wondering whether I should bother upgrading to a Quad Core...
Seems like a simple enough task to connect this: simply plug the HD AUDIO or AC'97 connector into the F_AUDIO slot of my Gigabyte UD3R yet it doesn't work. Tried both plugs and I get no sound whatsoever. RealTek HD Audio Manager doesn't even detect it.
Has anyone had this problem and if so is...
Heh, I have the exact same motherboard and came on this forum to see what decent socket 775's I could get. At this point I would say you're better off getting a new but if that's out of the question then try eBay for a slightly better CPU (i got a 4200 X2 for like 100 bucks over a year ago). Try...
