Can't run *Retail* Warcraft3..causes fatal error! help!!!

Hercules Game Theater XP

For starters, you do know that GTXP has TWO things that connect to the back of your PC. 1) The cable for your sound card. 2) A USB Cable If the USB cable is not connected to your PC, of course the Game Ports are not going to work.

No sound from speakers- help anybody?

This is usually very OVERLOOKED but go to creative's website and choose download driver. (I did the work, here --> http://www.americas.creative.com/support/welcome.asp?RD=download ) Select Sound Card, SB! Live, and the type (Value, Gamer, MP3, etc) Then download the latest drivers that suits...

3 Burned Processors - any ideas???

You didn't tell us anything about how to place the fan and heatsink. Are you sure you did it correctly? The one flaw of AMD processor is that they leave their core open unlike P4's where Intel included a metal shield on top that protects the core and aids a little in cooling. Are you sure...

xp-virus??

Sorry about the KaZaA part...been helping lots of people in different thread, I got mixed up. I would tried the "Last Known Good Configuration" (I don't remember how to bring up that option, ask around though) and try to login with that.

My Computer is DOA, please help

Just taking a shot @ this - do you have any raids? Try to put in your raid's driver/boot disk and see what happens although XP should recognize them both. Did you check the cables maybe?

I've been 'winjected'

I'm not sure you can delete the file JUST LIKE THAT. That's why I suggested the msconfig so it doesn't load at startup and therefore you can delete it after reboot. You will also have to delete the other files it created.

I've been 'winjected'

a) Adaware won't do anything because all it does is pick up spyware. That obviously is not a spyware because it is multiplying itself. Spywares don't do that. It's most likely a virii/trojan. Not sure if it's harmful or not but very annoying. Andrew, did you try my advice about the msconfig...

I was right ^^ hehe...It's a good idea to scan disk and defrag once a week (well maybe not that much but I do it when i'm zZzing so....) Just a thought ^^ GL

I don't think he can get into restore. What's the key to press...If he can get into the option of "Boot from Last Known Worked Config *i know i didnt write it correctly but u know what i mean, the boot from the last good known config, maybe the computer will be able to boot from the config...

About the CD, you did it right. But please note to BOOT from CD, you have to press a key. It should say... Boot From CD... Press A Key To Boot From CD I think it's your OS now that has happened because your OS isn't loading and because you didn't boot from CD, it went to your OS which is...

Need a CDRW Pro to HELP!!! Acer 4x4x6 not recognized!!!

This may seem like common sense and it works 4 me when my PC doesn't recognize any new hardware installation and is overlooked IMO. Add/Remove Hardware in Control Panel.
