Hi guys, so after using the 4850x2 for 2 months I decided to up the GPU potential for better gaming performance in new titles coming soon. I purchased an XFX 1gb 4850 to go along with my Sapphire 2gb (1 x 2gb) 4850x2. My comp is as follows:
P5q pro LGA 775 Mobo 2 Pci-e 2.0 16x (8x by 8x in...
Well after good thought (and a recent look at my spening money) :brokenheart:I think for now im just going to buy one 4850x2 and see how satisfied I am with the results and hold off for a month or so on the 3rd 4850 depending on just how far the single x2 will take me
This is what I decided on, Im gunna go with the Tri-fire setup, for bang for the buck this is unbeatale...
I mean I cant imagine buying 3 4870s, that would be nearing 1000 in gpu alone!
Well I am preparing to buy a new PSU and GPU and am looking for the best deal. I was originally looking at the 4870x2 but I noticed for the same price I could get 2 4850x2!!, seems like that would a extremely powerfuly machine. Has anyone tried this, also what kind of PSU would I be looking at???
Well this is a good plan, most definately but one problem with this is money. The 4870x2 is just so darn much that that plus a psu is about ....600+ after tax and shipping...
Hmmm I hate to make a new thread of an old one but what about starting out with at 4850x2 and then going to another...
Ok so I have been noticing after prolonged computer use my comp begins to slow down.... I have an E8500, After about 3 hours of playing COD 5 the frames may begin to drop alittle and when I close the game the computer is running just a tick slower....I began to note this an then decided to...
Well Asus comes with the AI suite in which you can use an Auto voltage calculator and you can change the multiplier and frequencies. Anyhow I did a few experiements with overclocking.
I have an Antec Earthwatt 500w PSU (if that is a factor)
With my build on a radeon 4870 1GB I am...
No I was just no new egg looking and there were some that said 400x2, It looked like 2 small 400w powersupplies put together in one, had 2 power switches in all???
Anyhow this is the one im mainly looking at/the one in my price range
Its by corsair and they are claiming the stength in...
Its a 22inch but it runs at 1920x1080....
Ok so from the looks of it 850+ is the consensus!, well I will begin shopping around and making this happen, btw has anyone had any experience with those multi-core power supplies. I was a few of them but I was sure how they worked/their purpose
Ok so I had a sapphire 4870 1gb which died, and newegg has so kindly restocked it and allowed to buy whatever I please....
I have decided that I would eventually like to aspire to having a 4870 and a 4870x2...
The reason is I want to buy this in 2 chunks.... the first chunk would be...
my friend was baffled by that too lol, My case has break-out brackets that you first have to literally push out with your thumbs that are flush with the case....then once you do that it has the thicker slide in type if you needed to close it off again, since this was my first modern card, I...
OK well I sniffed around the card a good deal and the only area that smells of burned rubber is the exhaust port under the DVI ports, by sticking my nost to the grill under the DVI I can definately smell burn......Though I dont know what location that translates too...
Also I noticed the...
