Building a new gaming rig, looking for some input

Sorry, I probably worded that wrong. The speakers themselves are screw down. It's a set of Logitech Z-560 (4.1) speakers I've had for years now. It's just the amp that plugs into the 3.5mm jacks. I think I'll go with the Tuniq Tower for the cooler then.

Going to go with the OCZ over the Intel drive, thanks for pointing that out DominionSeraph. As for the speakers- they're plugged into an an Audigy 2ZS in this machine that I could just salvage, but I find that the drivers/software creative supplies for it for Win7 are pretty lackluster so I...

This is primarily a gaming build, my budget being around $2,000 CDN. I'm building from scratch as I haven't done so in quite a while and decided it was time to do so again. I'm not worried about waiting for new technology to come out and whatnot- I'd like to get this built in the next couple...

Yeah. I RMA'd my 2007WFP today- I picked up a ViewSonic VX2025wm and I can only see very minor banding at the left of the screen with gradlin 03. It's FAR better. But, of course, as my luck would have it it's got a dead pixel. I'll be returning it ASAP to get a different one (yes I'm picky about...

The issue is glaringly obvious, it's not like we are sitting here going "LOL DELL SUCKS! LETS BASH IT!" Most of us have noticed it playing games or using apps like photoshop. Many games use gradients. They look awful on this particular monitor. Therefore, it is a defect. So no I for one, will...

I think it's pretty stupid to say "It looks fine if I use the older technology port to plug it in, so I don't know what your guys' problems are!?" It's kinda like.... buying a car with no doors- "Well it's fine if I get in through the sun roof!"

Hrm, I'm finding that the VGA port is better than the DVI port for the banding issue, and I think I am going to hold onto the monitor for a week or so until I can talk to a higher level dell tech support and see if they plan to resolve the issue. If not I'll return it and look for another monitor.

Gradient banding is an issue with all LCD's, however, it is particularly bad with the 2007WFP, as in, it's banding a hell of a lot more than it should be. It isn't even close to being reasonable. It's quite upsetting that this monitor has the banding issues and I'm crossing my fingers that...
