It indeed would be terrible. To reconcile both the ‘M5 Mac Pro will exist this year’ and ‘M5 Mac Pro will be released at least next year’ I propose: M5 Mac Pro will be announced at WWDC (or even the October laptop refresh mini-event) and set to release early next year.

IIRC Mark Gurman did float the idea of the Studio having an M3 Ultra and the Pro being released with an M4 Ultra so maybe that’s what’ll happen? We haven’t seen Hidra yet and that was supposedly an M4 gen die.

Is this better pricing than the M2 gen? It seems the same to me. And Framework/AMD with 2k for 128GB RAM still seems like a good deal.

Yeah it’s good to see the latest Air get down to 999 again. It’s been a while. Also the Studio remaining at 1999/3999 is good too, and highlights how dumb the 1399 M4 Pro’s pricing is.
