How would nanotech work for practical applications

My physics professor works on nanotech stuff: http://www.physics.berkeley.ed.../zettl/highlights.html He built the first nanotube radio receiver. Imagine putting that in some sort of nano"bot" and using it to control it (a la a remote control car)

New build won't power up

Ok, so I tried using the power supply from my computer (Enermax Liberty 400W), but that also did not work. However, I have a new problem. I tried plugging everything back into the computer I took it from, and now that won't turn on (same problem as the other computer). When I press the power...

Yeah, I can push them, and they go fine. The fan hooked up to the case is not working either, so it might be the PSU. How would I know if it was the motherboard?

when i first turned it on, the fans spun. but now nothing goes, no fans, no lights, nothing. Also, everything is plugged in.

Hello all, I just built a new PC. At first when i plugged it in and hit the power button, it turned on, but made a loud screeching noise (I forgot to plug in the PCI-E power plug for the video card). I turned it off, plugged the cable in, and powered on again. This time, nothing would come...

Duo or Quad for 3d modeling?

I have an 8800GTS for a GPU, I think that will be good enough. I was looking at Q6600 combo deals with motherboards, and I was wondering if I could get a cheaper mobo. Will that make a difference, especially since she will not be playing games on her computer?

When I load my cpu with TAT it shows the temps at 60C. I've read that the max safe temp for e4400 is around 60C. If/when I OC, what should I use as a referencing point to see if it goes over that point, since theres no real accurate number?

Yeah, it says Tjunction is 100C. So that's good? I should be able to OC just fine then..?

No video

yeah i know that. i have a gigabyte 965p-ds3. my antec p180b doesnt have an internal speaker so i dont know if the computer is POSTing or not. I really have no idea how to tell, because my mobo doesnt have LED lights. Should I clear the CMOS?

I have an Antec p180b, and I'm pretty sure it doesn't have an internal speaker. =\ . Where could I find these status LEDs? To clear the CMOS, do I just pull the battery out?
