You should check your ip. Maybe he had to have a fixed ip address at school that is out of range for your dhcp server assuming you have dhcp turned on.
Installed the inf from compaq and that worked! Thanks for the help. The hardware manager still says the monitor is plug and play, which I thought was an interesting side note. Almost didn't try it.
The problem is only in counterstrike, which is the only game I play. I can change the res on the desktop just fine. I tried the drivers from the sapphire cd and the drivers from ati catalyst 3.4
I put together 3 systems using the MSI MS-6368L 50A (MS-6368 6368-140) PLE 133. It has everything you're looking for except the modem. Very stable. I'd recommend it over the pcchips for sure.

Got the MB running again with cel 466. Downloaded the bios Andy suggested. When I updated the bios it said "Warning - Bios model doesn't match" or something close to that. There was mention of "P4T". I figured it was ok since the P4T is a Pent 4 MB. I let it burn. It said it completed the job...
Can I put a celeron II 900 in a asus p3v4x anyone know? I already tried and get nothing. Then I notice on the retail intel box it says "it is electrically different and could cause damage".
