Why is matching RAM like pulling teeth?

Dual Channel RAM for non-dual channel system

I've noticed that almost all of the twin sticks of RAM are marketed for dual channel systems. But if I don't have a dual channel system, will they just work like two individual sticks of RAM? Are there really anything special about RAM optimized for dual channel? Thanks for the help.

6800GT can't handle HL2 or more RAM needed?

I was playing around with the BIOS to see what kind of timing and latency my RAM had and found something called Graphic Aperture Size. Would increasing this help at all? What should it be at?

6800GT can't handle HL2 or more RAM needed?

I have a Dell 2005fpw and I bought the 6800GT to drive it. For the most part, the 6800GT runs like a charm. Except I'm still having trouble playing HL2 without choppiness at everything set to high and at 1680x1050. Here's my basic setup: Athlon 64 +3200 512MB of RAM 6800GT HL2 suggests...

Best Brand 6800GT 256MB For OverClocking?

I'm actually looking at the Leadtek 6800GT AGP on sale for $299 right now. Does anyone know how loud the Leadtek card runs? I'm kinda aiming for a quiet unit so noise would factor into it.
