You can get a plain 9700 for about $220. So if you were thinking of buying a Ti4200 for $130 then obviously the 9700 is a better deal. However if you're getting a Ti4200 for like $80, it would be hard to pass that up.
Theres a thread on HardOCP listing experiences with nForce2 boards. the 8RDA pops up a lot as having trouble, more than it should. Just a friendly heads up to anyone spending their hardearned cash. :)
I'd play 1024x768 at 4x Anti-Aliasing with 8x Ansiotropic with V-Sync turned on. If I had a LCD I'd do 1280x1024 w 2x Anti-Aliasing and 8x Ansiotropic and V-Sync.
Nvidia is in a really crappy position do you keep the Ti4200's pumping out, because lets face it if its between a $120 ti4200 or a $149 5200u or $200 5600u most people would go for the Ti4200.
But if you do that then you kill your FX line of cards because you won't sell enough to get decent...
The 5200 ultra is a $149 card and in most non-FSAA situations especially hi-res it gets clobbered by the Ti4200. Nvidia really screwed up across the board this time.
