Dead JVC camcorder? Used 3 times :(

Hi, here in the UK, JVC recalled a number of cameras which had defective CCD's and they offered to repair the cameras for free even if out of warranty (mines was about 2.5 years old when they repaired it): Text. Might be something to check out.

Shuttle SN85G4 Rev 3 HDD showing up as only a 130gb

Hi, I've tried changing the setting in the Bios from AUTO to LBA but it makes no difference, when I set it to AUTO the BIOS shows the drive as 131GB and when I set it to LBA it shows as a 128GB drive. WD Tools recognises the drive as a 130GB drive, I even tried writing zero's to the whole drive...

Try removing your IDE controller from System properties and restart. When Windows redetects the ide controller it should reset the transfer speed to DMA, if it doesnt then you should try checking your IDE cable. Are you using a 40 wire or 80 wire cable and do you have another device hooked up to...

Windows keeps changing my HD from DMA to PIO even after I change it back

Have you tried changing the IDE cable? Is it 80 wire? Is there just the HDD on the cable or do you have 2 drives connected to the cable, if you have 2 drives connected try removing a drive to see if that helps. If windows detects to many errors on the cable it automatically reverts to PIO mode.
