v3 3000 or viper II

i day u get a viper ii i had one and in opengl (quake3)it i was getting about 60fps at 1024*768*32*32 thats hell better than v3, but in direct3d it was as fast as a v3 3000, also i could o/c this card at 170/195 (defaukt: 125/143) and get about 72fps at 1024*768*32*32 whats wrong with that...

hmm difficult question, xas latency most times don't have to do with mhz.. go for pc100 cas2

Help my fan is running backwards

well fans are supposed to through cool air from the case on the hot heatsink to coolit down and therefore cool the cpu it self. try to upside down it, or buy a new one.

CPU upgrade question

well it is socket7 i would go for the k2-550 the gain would be about 15% not much difference, wait to buysomething better is my suggestion

no in that machine speed is not my priority, i just want it for internet access, back up system, cd-burner, and internet gateway.in greece its really really cheap, the accurate price in dollar (acoording to todays parity)is 590$ and 410pounds

i don't think u find any difference exept u use video editing or photo editing where the extra 33Mhz make the difference, i have 2 sticks 1 pc100 cas2 (although its generic) and the other one is pc133 cas3, using one of them each time made no differce either on 3dmark or quake 3 (differences of...

well i have seen p120 working at 133 (2*66 instead of 2*120) without any prob and most of them run at 150(2,5 *120) with just a bigger fan on the heatsink.

yes its very stable it also goes up to 616 but the old agp card is not happy with over tahn 66\mhz agp... but i think for that money 550 is a good number

FASTER ??? vith via chipset? don't think so, maybe u have changed something.. i815 is about 50% faster in memory than all via chipsets..
