I'd say for the laptop get the fastes dual core with HT, with 8 cores you will eat the crap out of your battery even at low clocks/voltages.

Bad Company 2 looks like total shiate

I have no jaggies whatsoever AND i have antialiasin as well?? whats the problem?? goolge gossmans bc2 launcher and FORCE DX10. it sounds to me like yours is defaulting to DX9 for some reason. with my 2XGTX260's the game looks great no jaggies nothing and I can see enemies in the distance

I guess they are the last lynnfield chips intel had made and due to 1156 hitting EOL soon, they simply altered the chips by unlocking the multi thus making them cheap, whereas when the original QX9XXX xhips came out they were a completely new architechture hence the more expensive cost and intel...

First OC - i7 875K

all gigabyte owners need F8 or newer betas for higer than 22 multi. but that said seems those chips are voltage hogs over 4gz compared to the 860's and stanrd 870's. but up to 4ghz they seem to run fine. I'd say bump the core voltage up to 1.3v and take it as high as she'll go

XFX HD 5870 not living up to it's advertised speed. What should I do?

yep rma, for sure, tell them straight up if you get the second card ad it has the stripe issue you wont buy XFX again. you spent good money (REAL good money considering how much they are) on that card and its absurd to have to clock it down. now the issue is something to do with the drivers...
