Hi, For some odd reason, I'm having a difficult time installing BF2. As soon as I pop in my disc, it goes through the initial intallation process where it's readying everything, but soon after the installer pops up, it automatically quits without ever deploying error codes. I did install...

How come when I go through a Proxy some sites don't load properly such as PCMag.com, CNET.com, CoolTechZone.com and a bunch of other popular sites? Is there a way to fix that on my end?

When you say it's the easiest route to go, what exactly do you mean by that? Does it mean that configuring a HTPC with standard XP Pro would be troublesome or wouldn't give as impressive results as MCE? Thanks.

I'm building a HTPC and waiting for everything to arrive. Until that point, can someone tell me if I need Microsoft's Windows Media Center Edition OS to get the HTPC to work or will regular Win XP Pro will do? Thanks.

Onboard Sound Not Working

True, I have disabled the onboard sound. I'll try the case in the new system. And yes, I agree with you. It can't be possible for both audio subsystems to die mysteriously.

1. Speakers are plugged in and not dead. :) 2. Installed nothing on the system. 3. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the latest drivers. 4. I took apart the system and changed slots (reset the BIOS) just in case there was some odd glitch, but still no use.

How to benchmark Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow

Yeah, but you have to be able to record the demo if you want to go through it. If you are using Fraps on a regular map and fighting with enemies, the results could be unpredictable.
