Did you actually try to utilize Word, Excel, etc.? I type a lot, so tried it for 15 or so minutes in OneNote/Excel. Completely unproductive since I had to keep the keyboard "dug in" into my stomach. The experience has definitely improved over SP2, but still far from this being a fulltime device...

I tried it at the MS store. Most MS stores have chairs/high-chairs. In my case, there was also a massage chair and a "couchy" chaise lounge kind of thing right in front of the MS store in the mall... so was able to take it outside after politely asking the MS store rep.

Ummm, guys, just because you're unable to figure out the basic functionality that has existed for ages, doesn't mean it's Excel's fault. Some research might help. Just hold down the SHIFT key when opening a file to force Excel to open the file in a new instance. Not sure if this used to work in...

For the same reason that Amazon or Newegg don't enter the business of designing and running chip fabrication plants. I was getting taxed by Newegg (CA), so got the 3770K from Amazon. Edit: Oops. Looks like I'll be buying from MC B&M.
