vista, nvraid (nf4), and pata drives

Are you doing a fresh install from booting the dvd or upgrading from an xp desktop? If you are upgrading, you have to download the new drivers and tell Vista to use them before you install. It's quite easy, I just did it. Sorry though i forgot the exact directions.

600W PSUs

Anyone use the FrozenCpu.com power supply tester? My Power & Temp monitor is displaying my 12v at 11.4v. It hit 9.6v the other day but hasnt gone that low since. It's a Antec True 550, almost 4 years old. What do you recommend I do? I'd like to try to spend $100.

$12 Separating between new E3 3000+ and New E6 3200+. Will be overclocking-please help me choose.

What mobo do you have? The ram may be the limit to your OC, not the 3200... I have the same ram but in a 2gb setup and I can't reach the cpu OC cieling.

Enabling Pipelines on a 7800GT

Hmm, what is the VF700? A cooler I assume, are you sure it is installed correctly? I just ran rthdribl and the temp spikes are normal. Granted my load temps are only 37degrees C, that temperature is immediately reached. There isn't any gradual warm-up effect.

19" lcd monitor

If you don't need fast refresh rates, don't get it. Usually color is not as good.

I think it is just the sensor that is very sensitive. keidanny How are you running 1350mhz ram? Thats insane...

Possibly Buying a 7800gt this weekend, quick question

I have a True Power 550 and I don't have it. The 7800gt (should) come with an adapter though, it uses two 4 pin power connectors, my evga did.
