This Fan Any Good?

Yes, make sure you have a screwdriver with a long shaft to get between the blades and the cooling fins to secure it on the motherboard. To make it easier, the fan is removable, but not easily-just wiggle it back and forth and get enough space underneath the base to pry it up with a screwdriver.

Going Out With a Bang

I would go for the Lian Li case. I have had many cases, most of which have been very good. Now that I have had a Lian Li I could never go with another brand. How often can you have the best of something for a few hundred dollars. There is something about their cases that I have a hard time...

question for anyone with a Lian Li PC-V1000B case

Another problem you might run into with that series is the mounting of some of the larger CPU heatsinks. I had a 1200 plus II and could only mount the two I tried (a Thermaltake 120 ultra extreme and an Aerotherm Nirvana) facing down due to the CPU being at the bottom and interference with the...

Lian Li V1000 / V1200 question

I had a V1200 and was only able to mount the Ultra 120 Extreme by removing the fan shroud. Maybe I could have fit it in somehow, but I just didn't see the point. Also, with a fan on it I had to mount it blowing down due to the inverted positioning of the mainboard (CPU at bottom) and...

best or better case

I just got the Lian Li PC-A70B and it is great. It doesn't have the inverted mainboard configuration of the V series (I had a 1200 Plus II before this) and the room and airflow is fantastic. The workmanship is up to Lian Li standards. There are lots of other good cases but it would be hard...

Canon Pixma iP4300 at Staples - $60.00 after $40. MIR.

Thanks for the tip on this one. Since the least I have been able to get a full set of replacement carts for is 55$-60$, I wait for sales like this and just get a new printer. There was a Staples down the street so I ran down at 10:00 and got the one they had.

Sennheiser CX300-B Earbuds 53$ @ Amazon

Thanks for the tip on the EP-630s. I wanted another another pair of CX-300s but could not find them for the $40 that I got them for on sale at Amazon. The EP-630s look like they are comparable for quite a bit less. Still much better that the Sony Fontopias.
