sli overclocking? 7800gtx's

Both my gpu's are idling at around 48 C, which is what the single card was before SLI. knowing this, i decided i'd just tweak up the clock speeds just a tad. however, with coolbits, whenever i increase the core or memory by even 1 mhz, i fail the stability test even though my gpu is cool enough...

Ultra X-Connect 500 W Power supply - Don't buy it.

agreed. do NOT get the x-connect it is a horribly unreliable psu. I had one assuming that it would work fine since my system wasnt that demanding. WRONG! After just a week of use, the psu literally DIED on me just when i was surfing the web. The system i was running it on was this: p4 2.66...

ok its just good to know that my vga's arent damaged because that would be really bad, as they are the most expensive hardware in my setup.

well i ripped the cpu out because i was having problems, and i meant to take the hsf off, but the cpu just came out with it with at least 6 or 7 pins badly bent. the reason i was wondering is because the problem i was having was the the system would start up and then turn off immediately, which...

help please

Something went awry when i installed a second 7800gtx and i accidentally ripped out the cpu and bent all the pins. I'm sure the mb is damaged. I'm replacing the cpu and motherboard, but im wondering: is there a possibility that my ram or my video cards could have been damaged through this...

Getting a Fx-53 chip which hsf?

i have a 4000+ which is the fx53...I'm using a zalman 7700 all copper hsf and it works awesome. 29 in bios, 32 idle, never goes above around 42 under full load, and remember this is @ 2.7 ghz overclocked. btw awesome vid card aries64...but whats your video card?

XFX 6600GT Running Too Hot?

i had an xfx 6600 gt agp and it idled at around 45. are you sure that xfx is the problem and that you dont just suck at cooling and using airflow.

SLI working?

Heya, i have my second xfx 7800gtx on the way. I'm confused about how SLI game profiles work though. From what i understand they are included in nvidia drivers??? How do i check to ensure that SLI is working in a certain game? Help would be greatly, greatly appreciated.

lost disk?!

I downloaded a program called power defrag and was running it. It was in the middle of the defrag of my second, oldass 20 gig drive when i decided that it was taking too damn log and i closed it. However, the next time i restart my computer, I hear something shut off as it starts up, and windows...
