Updated through Magician 4.9.7, no issues. The 850 PRo always supported TCG/Opal.

Is this wear on Samsung SSD excessive?

You also have 2 CRC errors...while minor, a CRC error happens when there's an issue with the SATA port or SATA cable.

840 Non-EVO FW Released

I had a 840 with old data that i left unpowered since July of 2015. On Monday, one of my coworkers reformatted it because they didn't know i had it like that purposely so if the FW update came out, i could test before and after. Literally a DAY before the FW was released. :mad::mad::mad:

Samsung 950 Pro - PCIe Slot information

Its like when the 840 EVO first came out, they added OPAL and E-DRIVE capability through a FW update several months after it was released. They said they are going to do the same for this drive.

The 950 Pro doesn't support OPAL or E-Drive yet, so his Bitlocker is software level, so he will get a performance hit.

Make sure when testing, you guys use HD Tune Pro 5.6. You can use the trail version. The free version 2.55, doesn't bench SSDs correctly. Also, drivers affect the results of the speed on HD Tune Pro as well, So9 make sure you have the most up to date AHCI drivers in your system. Make sure in...

You cannot be serious. RAPID mode is a cache on your RAM, when you run the benchmark, you are benching the cache on the RAM, not the SSD. You drive is not running at 6000+ MB/s. Also RAPID only helps with programs that have high Queue Depth Usage. Regular usage, Rapid mode doesn't do...

Bought a Samsung 950 Pro M.2 and can't get it to work.

You M.2 lane only support x2 lanes. It needs to support x4 lanes to get full speed on the 950 Pro.
