reboot before running 1st test...
installed, put in new name, started new test then rebooted...
the rascal got me...a new 2nd test...so now the theory is to reboot after name change but exit and reboot before starting 1st test...
my daily thanks for the stats...it's taken a few days but I wanted dfamily to finish the tests in progress and TA to get the credit...dfamily should drop off on the July 9 1pm update and pcdeatherage will continue the climb...most of the machines are scheduled to go off-line in the coming days...
The $60 Belkin in the burgany box (500va 300W (small office version?)) has served me well as long as I only plug the computer box in the UPS side (the monitor plugs into the wall, not the surge side)...a couple of 2-plug 4-year old APCs ($80-90 at the time) still do fine (again with just the box...

you might just try and pull the cable at the floppy and turn it around...
this one had me going for a bit, had it in backwards...fans would spin for a couple of sec and then stop...no noise no nuthin'...
Double check your cmos and make sure you have it set to boot from floppy? If the floppy drive is good, if the floppy is good and bootable, if the cable is good, if the cable is plugged in properly, then I would say it has to be the cmos setting or motherboard (having the cable plugged into the...
