200MHz FSB vs. 266 FSB

I have the Asus A7V133a MB with the AMD 1 GHz 200 MHz FSB. Now that the 266's are out, is there much of a difference ? Where can I review the specs regarding this issue ? Thanks, Jerry

ATA100 and A7v133

If I connect a ATA100 HD to a RAID controller (non RAID use) will it be recognized or do I have to install specific Promise drivers ???

Asus A7V133 and Raid controllers

I would like to run a cdrom and internal zip drive from the Raid controllers while in the ATA100 mode. Is this possible or are those controllers intended for HD's only...Raid or non-raid mode? Anyone with experience in this matter please respond...I've been trying to get a straight answer for...

Question: Can a cdrom or internal zip drive be sucessfully installed on the Raid controllers when in the ATA100 mode ??? I've heard mixed reviews. Some say only HD's should be installed on Raid controllers regardless of mode (Raid or ATA100). Others say, no problem with cdrom or zip...

Raid controllers and ATA 100 devices ?

Help with Raid..Please

So...I have the Asus A7V133 MB and want to run non-Raid, I can use all controllers for ANY IDE device as long as I have it set to ATA100 ??? I'm getting mixed messages from a local tech here in Atlanta. He indicates that the Raid controllers are for HD's and cdroms, zip drives etc are unstable...

Asus Tech confirmed !

I spoke with a Asus Tech this morning and he confirms that the A7V133 will support cdrom, internal zip etc on the RAID controllers when in the ATA100 mode (jumper setting on the MB). Has anyone tried this ??? Thanks, Jerry

I want the KT133A chipset but not Raid. I'm told that since the A7V133 can be configured to run in ATA100 mode for all IDE controllers I thus can install a CDROM, internal zip, ot any other device to the controllers. Is this correct ??? Also, I understnad that Asus makes a KT133a MB w/o Raid...

Is the Asus KT133A MB (Non-Raid) Available ??

I want the KT133A but not Raid. Epox looks ok but concerned about the air flow / heat near CPU due to the crowded conditions etc...

I understand that Asus also has a MB that has KT133a but is not a Raid MB ?? Anyone have the details ???

KT133A & Raid

I would like the benefit of the KT133A chipset but will never use Raid. Can the Raid IDE Pri and Sec connectors be used for CDROM or internal zip with the new Asus MB ??? Or can they ONLY be used for hard drives even if non Raid ??? Thanks, Jerry u9@yahoo.com
