PC check error

General Slowdown

Help I burned my motherboard

If the PC still works, I believed won't last as long as the factory expected life span. Check other parts such as capacitors, the short could also caused depreciation or damamge to the other parts as well. Hope this helps. Bill Tech Manager, Wptinc.

Upgraded CPU, now computer locks up

I agreed PSU and RAM need attention, also, if there is CPU driver for AMD CPU, we can install that as well or some kind of CPU hot fix driver for the Win8. Sometimes, the latest Bios is not good all the time, we may try roll that back to the previous one and try. Hope this helps. Bill Tech...

motherboard starts whining after clearing CMOS and installing SSD

How bad of an idea is it to replace mobo and CPU and not do a reinstall?

Yes, changing the mobo hardware without reinstalling the OS may cause the Blue Screen or auto reboot. This is because the latest OS are all hardware based and binding. Hope this helps. Bill Tech Manager, WPTinc.:thumbsup:

Desktop won't boot

I believed the computer power button is the first component to check. There shoule be some sorts of FAN activity even no beep sounds when the power button is pressed. The FAN may just turns a least few times even when the CPU is in error. Hope this helps. Bill Tech Manager, WPTinc.
