Thanks for the replies. The Kingston spec sheet http://www.valueram.com/datasheets/KHX6400D2LLK2_2G.pdf indicates that the SPD is set for 667 at 1.8v but the modules have been tested to run at 800 at 2.0v. So if I want to run the memory at 800, do I just manually override the SPD and punch in...

I just bought (not built) a new PC. I asked for DDR2 800 MHz RAM because I believed that the motherboard supports it. But when I checked the BIOS I find that it's running at 667MHz. Can I just set it to 800? If it refuses to boot, will I have to mess with a jumper? If this is too...

Thanks for the reply. I see that the spec on yoru Mushkin is 1.8v. Still not sure whether I'll have issues with the Corsair. I appreciate the links. Whew, that's a lot to digest! I hope someone can boil this down for me and basically say "It's safe" or "It's not safe." Regards.

I'm about to buy a system and the PC vendor recommended this board and RAM. But I see that the board specs are 1.8v or 1.9v RAM while the memory specs indicate 2.1v. Are they incompatible? I have read some disturbing stories about this motherboard. Is it safe to buy one? Any advice, tips...

Need recommendations for a 35MM SLR camera!
