"New" E6300 vs. E7X00

Yesterday I put in a E6300 in my computer and it's clocked at 3.8GHz at 1.38V, I needed VT and E7xxx is just 1 more MB of cache for for $24 which doesn't make much of an impact.

I can't load CCC on my new build

I had that error just last week on a xpress200 chipset. An uninstall and reinstall fixed it, make sure dotnet is installed first.

400GB to big?

Think about this 400gb can store 8 HDTV movies (assuming 50GB blue ray) thats nothing. If you want a practical use for more space make some Rainbow Tables which will allow you crack almost all windows XP passwords in a few minutes.

Can I configure a hot-key for the Windows screen saver?

Make a shortcut to your screensaver then go into the properties of the shortcut and set a "shorcut key".

can anyone think of a reason I might need to keep a 5 1/4" floppy drive

Lets see a DVD is 4483MB, and a 5 1/4" floppy is 1.2 MB. So your saying you'd copy 3735 flopppies for nothing?

quick MASTER / SLAVE question

I've seen a computer that would hang at boot randomly. It turned out it was because the cd rom was slave on its own channel so make it master if there is only one.

When is your Hard Drive worked the hardest?

Copy a 10GB file to somewher else on the drive. At the same time copy the same 10GB file to a different drive (or several).

POLL: Good feature for the next version of Windows?

You can make an alarm clock using the "Scheduled Tasks" but its not intuitive. Also you could make one with nothing more then notepad if you were so inclines (vbscipt Jscript ect).

RPM of ZALMAN CNPS7000A-ALCU

You could also just not use the Fan Mate, and use Speedfan to control the RPM so don't have to pop the side off the case.

For being the "fastest computer ever" he doesnt carry the Ati x800 Xt, Ati x800 Xt PE, Nvidia 6800 gt, or the Nvidia 6800 gt Ultra. Because unlike every half decent computer company he cant buy them! I guess when he list ATI and NVIDIA in "Michael's Computers Relationships" he means "buys from...
