Trying to pick a motherboard for my new 1155 build, and I have questions...
1. Should I go with Z68 instead of P67? There doesn't seem to be much difference to me. I will have a 40gb SSD that Windows will be on. I have a discrete graphics card.
2. What motherboard do you guys recommend...
ideally they should all be the same size and height, otherwise it could be a bit awkward. where can you get 2 monitors for $200 and what size are they?

Benches look pretty good for it. I play mostly RTS and FPS games. ATI and Nvidia are very competitive when it comes to FPS, but from what I've seen Nvidia has the definite edge in RTS games.

I had a PSU in one of my systems do this. The problem is your Thermaltake PSU (same kind I had). It would work fine with my 9800GTX, but when I installed a GTX275 it produced the symptoms you described. Fortunately EVGA tech support knew the answer (great company BTW).

if your computer was unplugged at the time, then it is impossible to have fried anything. Do what the people above me said and reseat your memory, graphics, card, and any connections (power connection to graphics card, motherboard, etc).
