3DFuzion aka BFG 7800GT $289 No tax AR

I called 3DFuzion tech support at 877-300-8869 and spoke to Mike, who confirmed that their 7800GT does in fact support rez up to 2048 x 1536. The FAQ is out of date.

I don't see a date on that FAQ (FAQs should always be dated), but it looks out of date to me. I notice that the FAQ only mentions AGP & PCI, not PCI-E. I seriously doubt their 7800GT is that crippled compared to other cards, but it would be nice to have a confirmation. I don't see a max rez...

New Dell Home Coupons - 10/6 - 10/13 - UPDATED 10/10

I'm probably jumping on the 2405, but Dell is charging me for shipping and tax, bringing it up to $836.69. The $60 E&A coupon is not working, either. I called Dell but am getting nowhere on trying to get a better deal.

Big LCD for PC use?

The 2405 seems like the default, can't go wrong choice. But I did a little measuring yesterday and figured that a 32" monitor, mounted on the wall behind my desk, would be about the same perceived size, and I could reclaim some desk space. The 37" 1920x1080 models are a little too big for...

Hyundai 32" LCD TV $1199 AR at Tiger

Looks like this may be very hot deal, a little seaching shows current prices elsewhere around $1700. Probably a step or two behind the Sharps in quality but sounds like a pretty good unit. 32" Hyundai LCD

BenQ 19" Flat-Panel LCD Monitor $309

This does look like a great deal on a pretty good 19" LCD. As for DVI or not... for my main PC setup I'd prefer a 19-20" LCD but don't need DVI since I'm using it with a 4-port KVM+audio switch (2 PCs + work PC) that doesn't support DVI anyway! But I do need a good gaming monitor...

Deleted huge file, but space still used?

Deleted huge file, but space still used?

I deleted a 36.5 Gb file (an HDTV recording) on a drive, and as usual for very large files was prompted that it was too big for the Recycle Bin and it would just be deleted. Problem is, the space seems to be still allocated and hasn't been freed up. I tried emptying the Recycle Bin, rebooting...

But it's in the url title in my initial post, so I would have thought it would show up in a search. I obviously don't understand exactly what does, and does not, show up in a search. I don't mind criticism, I'm a a big boy. Just a bit confused by the search results (or lack thereof).
