thanks in start>accessories>synch>setup how do i add something to the list of checked items ? under my LAN connection there is nothing listed and no button to 'add' an item (the item would be the directory i can access thro the p: drive, on the laptop screen)

netbook/notebook for net+vga for movies

thanks hmm. havent got a clue about the netflix (glossary links welcome), its just your average divx movie borrowed from a mate. probably thinking ebay, happy to get something that someone else is selling on. this will be a third pc so not too much money chucked at it, purely to go in the car...

looking for a basic portable notebook, for just internet (chrome youtube flash etc), and hooking up to a projector for divx/xvid considering the following so far: netbook 2Tb external hard drive (already own) usb -> vga adaptor (does this exist? i assume netbooks dont have vga)...

hmm i usually use different windows for firefox....just tabs when a link opens it up.... is there a diff in performance between FF windows and tabs... ?

xp starting to run reeeally slowly recently

just nortan AV 2003 running on startup, and sweetIM by the looks of it (because, you know, you need photographs of dogs talking in your msn conversations - but i only put that on a couple of days ago) nothing else in startup menu. right now typical userage i have 5-6 IE windows open...

xp starting to run reeeally slowly recently

recently my xp has been really starting to "chug". just basic stuff like a new internet explorer window taking up to 8-10 seconds to draw up the window, etc. i am not entirely sure if this might be because i have facebook open more! (first opened in december) ore i have also just installed...
