Listen to aznbomber, those are some good suggestion. Windows XP wireless management is very erratic. SP2 is an improvement, but there are still bugs. I almost threw out a perectly good wireless router, until I realized it was Windows XP that was causing my dropped and disapearing connections.

Actually, an LED that indicates when the memory has been installed correctly isn't a bad idea. I know a lot of mobos and mem sticks have been RMA'd needlessly because a newbe didn't snap the stick all the way down.

I've accidently done this a few times as well, but have not had any problems. Once the board is fully dried, make sure everything is plugged in correctly and try again. If it still won't boot, try a new CPU if one is available. Slot 1 Pentiums are super cheap at the moment.
