New build core i7 or not?

I think I would like to go with a i7 920 system, any suggestions for a motherboard? Maybe the ASUS P6T Deluxe V2? the nearest mircocenter is about 4 hours away so that won't work very well. should I get an aftermarket cooler or not? I currently have 4 sata hard drives and 1 sata dvd burner and...

WHR-HP-G54 or airport extreme?

Looking at getting a new router, right now it is between the buffalo WHR-HP-G54 and the Apple Airport Extreme. the internet connection is 1.5Mbps dsl from qwest the qwest wireless router sucks, so I connected a netgear WPN824 to it through the network port on the back. Currently here...

Windows XP won't Start

Yes I can get to the desktop but I can't select anything. I can hit the windows key and the start menu will open but I can't select anything with the keyboard or mouse. I can also hit Ctrl Alt Delete and the task manager will show up but I can't do anything with it I have defragmented the...

Windows XP won't Start

When I try and boot into XP everything will load and I can move the mouse around, but the computer just locks up and I can't click anything at all. When it loads it tries to install norton antivirus which is already installed. I am dual booting vista and xp off of the same drive and Vista loads...

I mainly use it for gaming (F.E.A.R., Halo, Oblivion, S.T.A.L.K.E.R., and more), I do some video editing, and a little photo editing also. I am also planning on doing a clean install sometime soon

Upgrade or replace asus socket 939 motherboard?

My processor is an AMD X2 4200+ and the hard drives are all SATA. I have a Plextor DVD burner that is PATA. As of right now I am wanting to spend as little as posible

Would this work with my motherboard? on the crucial website it says my motherboard is compatible with DDR 500 (PC 4000) Ram Click This is faster then DDR 400 (PC 3200) Ram right? I would get 2 sets of these to equal 2GB or would it be worth it to get 4GB? and I will use it mostly...

Going to abandon my case

I have this case and it works great for me running an amdx2 4200+, 3 SATA hard drives, 7800GTX, 2dvd burners. It has plenty of space, 6 spots to mount hard drives and the whole front can be re organized to however you want it to. About the only downside to the case is that it is huge and fairly...
