S.L.I = S.O.L when it comes to multi-monitor support.....at least for now anyway.

SLI and dual monitor DVI - let me get this straight

My second monitor is sitting idle because of this issue. The only way to get Dual View back is to disable SLI and REBOOT the system (SLI mode requires this whenever it's enable/disabled). With SLI disable, my two monitors show up in Device Manger correctly, and Dual View works as it should...

If it worked without having to clear the RTC then your good-to-go. Sometimes it's necessary for the functionality of the new BIOS to take hold. I to didn't have to clear my RTC for the update to work, but others have had to.

You'll need the 1016 BIOS to fix this issue. The BIOS you are running isn't setting the multiplier correctly for your chip. Install the 1016 BIOS, clear your RTC RAM (see page 2-19 of the manual) and you should be set.

You got a stubborn board on your hands. Maybe clearing the RTC RAM may help. See section 2.7.2 (page 2-19) of the manual. Boot directly to the A:\ drive and try a reflash again. I see you have a P4C800 Deluxe. However, my board is a P4C800-E Deluxe and the 1016 BIOS fixed the issue for me...

Try a reflash of 1016 - see if that helps you out. Yes, the multiplier was locked, and grayed out, in the BIOS prior to the flash to 1016. Now it's locked, and grayed out, at 16. Download CPU-Z from http://www.cpuid.com/ and see if your processor is indeed what you ordered.

To follow-up on this issue. I was running BIOS 1014 and have since flashed to 1016. The problem was the CPU is recognized as a 3.2GHz with that BIOS version, but the multiplier was incorrectly locked at 14 instead of 16. Simply flashed to 1016 BIOS - reboot - reset to system defaults -...

The funny thing here is that 1016 states it address this issue. From ASUS concerning the 1016 BIOS: Fix Prescott Locked CPU cant run to highest frequency.

I can push my DDR400 to 225Mhz, (3.15Ghz) but that is just a "Band-Aid". The system needs to recognize the chip correctly, and it's not. That's the whole base of the problem. The BIOS will see it as a 3.2GHZ chip but will only run it at 2.8GHz. I'm all for overclocking, but I want to push my...

Same problem here. I'm still looking for a solution, too. I can tweak my overclock settings to get up to 3.15Ghz, but I know this is not the correct approach. I poseted a message in the Official ASUS P4C800/Deluxe (875P) Thread asking for assistance.
