Integrated Audio: VIA Envy 24PT

I have an Albatron board with this chip in it. Works great with headphones/2 speaker setups. Anything else I'm not sure about.

opening up a computer gaming store, need advice

seems like overkill in a lot of cases for computers that are likely to be slighty abused... LCDs are nice because they will help keep electric bill down. you could maybe get 3100+ Semprons and non-raptor hard drives and a cheaper video card you can also see the most popular online games...

Please recommend me a nice gaming LCD Monitor

I bought a LG Flatron 1720P at best buy w/ 16ms response link: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/ol...72287232189&cmp=++ works great for games. 1280x1024 is the res you want to run everything at though.

* POOL * VOTE ATI or NVIDIA for next purchase card

my last 3 cards have been ATi, I think I'll probably go with nVidia for my next one due to PS 3.0 support, and significantly better openGL performance (ala Doom 3).

hardware problems- knoppix boots, windows won't?

I've never tried to move a harddrive from one computer to another. Unless the two computers are identical, I think you're going to have a problem when windows expects to find certain hardware that's not there anymore. For example, video drivers.. Edit: I think you're going to have to reinstall...

CPU overheating...maybe

I'm worried about the CPU->Heatsink transfer The heatsink just isn't very warm, and the air coming out from the heatsink is just luke warm. No real dust build up. I have the powersupply fan, which blows out lots of hot air, and a case fan blowing out, right below the powersupply, and right...
