nope, everything is on default settings. Mobo bios is updated to latest version on the website. I didn't touch any of the speed settings in the mb bios at all either.

what do you mean by resetting the ram? just taking it out and putting it back in?

I'm wondering what would cause a computer to just automatically shut down?
My old Chaintech VNF3-250 was busted and so i got a new one RMAed from chaintech. I also got a brand new powersupply from newegg just in case it was my old powersupply that busted the motherboard before.

Problem:
My mb got busted so I rma'ed for a new mb (same kind) and then got a new powersupply.
I reformated my computer.
installed nvidia drivers for mb. ok.
After I install catalyst drivers for videocard...
Ok...I just reformatted my computer and now things seem to run a lot slower. I'm guessing it's maybe a videocard or monitor problem.
I have an all in wonder radeon 8500 with the latest catalyst from ati.com.

well my friend told me that the same lag problem happens for him in winXP too...
man..i forgot one thing though...the administrative services in winXP!! Gotta turn some of those useless ones off...is there a list somewhere online that tells you what can be turned off safely and what should be...
