overclocking newbie..need a quick answer please.

Hey, cool thanks alot. As far as cooling, Im using a FOP32-1, and I also picked up some arctic silver II, because I dont trust just a thermal pad for this.

overclocking newbie..need a quick answer please.

I was wondering what the success rate is on overclocking a 950Mhz Thunderbird using an ABIT KT7A. Im not looking to use the full 133FSB, but was wondering if I will be able to use the same 9.5 multiplier and just up the FSB around 115, getting me close to 1.1GHZ. (I am using MICRON PC133) :)...

Prepare to be stumped!!

Yeah, I think it is a bum mobo. In a last ditch effort I unplugged my harddrive from my PIII450 system and threw it in there. Now I know what your thinking, but what we should have seen is windows boot and start detecting new hardware like a mofo (I made the mistake before :o ). But, it locks on...

prepare to be stumped!!!

OK, out of a last ditch effort, I ripped out MY hard drive and plugged it in. What we should have seen is windows boot and notice new hardware, and start searching for drivers. Well it got to the windows bootup screen and froze (WinMe). I'm starting to think I got a bad mobo with a bad IDE...

Not sure yet what this drive is, Im assuming it is atleast 66. I am sitting here looking at the bios and my CPU temp is 51*C. That seems a bit high just sitting here. I just put on a new FOP32 (correctly :)) and there is a case fan, but heck I have the side of the case open!!! Im also noticing...

Weird. So you cant install windows either??? I am here looking at the bios, and my CPU temp is 51*C. Also I notice my case fan ( i think, it says PWR fan (FAN 2)) is jumping from 2765 RPM all the way up to 5553 RPM..is that normal? Also I think looking at 51*C while just sitting in the bios is a...

I just tried using a standard ATA 33 cable to see if that made a difference. I booted up, went into DOS and started a scan disk. Instantly I got the following error! RUN-TIME error R6003 integer divided by 0 Whats this all mean?

anyone get strange hd noises in their antec cases?

Hey, quick question. Im building a system with a 40GB Maxtor DRACO using and KT7A and a 1.1 Thunderbird. Well, long story short. I can install windows. If you have close to the same setup as I do..did you have to do anything special. Is there something Im missing? Sorry I cant be of much help...
