A while back I had a little dock station for my iphone 4 in my bathroom....that i would dock whenever I wanted to play tunes in the bathroom. I upgraded to an iphone 5...and thus rendered my dock stations useless pretty much cause of the different connector. So i had to come up with another...
I have a wired up RaspPI with XBMC and Airplay enabled......and it works fine for this purpose. But so does my wireless Airport Express bathroom in ceiling speaker setup.
So i rebooted my machine yesterday to find out that i will not reboot.
-new parts about a week old (asus p8z77-v), i3570k.
-older parts 8 gigs of mushkin ram -ati 5870 vid
-antec 750 watt psu (as far as I can remember).
Machine tries to boot...but does not. Sounds like my CPU fan...
Have an intel D975XBX2 motherboard and installed windows on a new 500gig SATAII drive. After install was complete......i went to hook up an IDE 160gig secondary drive to get some data off of it......and the machine hangs and won't boot to windows. Hangs at a black screen with a flashing...

Also, another question...........what about a NAS setup? I know it is more limiting..........but would still probably work for these guys.

We have also considered theft/flood (but not fire!)....which will be taken care of by frequent backups.
It's not the most sensitive data.....but nonetheless important.

Is there a cable that exists (ide) to hook up my laptop harddrive to my pc? My laptop died.....and I need to get some documents off of it.
I yanked it out.......and notice that it is ide......but couldn't get my pc's ide cable hooked up to it? Are they different?
