Yeah, I wish it had a HUD too. The rest of the car feels like it's from the future, it feels like a HUD would fit the vibe really well. You do get used to looking at the screen for your speed super quickly... I think within a day for me, but yeah, I wish it had a HUD. Actually the only thing...

Thanks! It's been fun being one of the first - especially since I've had zero problems since I bought it. I am completely impressed by how well it handles too. My father had a Porsche and - note that I am no car expert - but I feel like it drives like his Porsche. It's got that sportcar...

I got my Model 3 about 3 weeks ago. It's an amazing car - it drives like a sportscar, looks like a Tesla on the outside and looks like the future on the inside. The display takes a little getting used to but it took me less than a day before I knew where to look and it's not that distracting...

Actually most of them are saying that they won't sell any passenger cars that aren't hybrids or EV's. So the proposal is to move to electrified cars - not electric-only cars.

In most states with higher prices of electricity they have plans for reduced pricing for EV's called a time-of-use plan and you can get substantially reduced pricing. Also, 24% of US states currently have a road tax - or equivalent fee - for EV's.

Yeah, if you are alone. In this case, my wife and daughter were with me and we were going to look at colleges/universities in SLC. Once you have more than one person or stuff that's not easy to fit in a suitcase, the math tilts the other way. But I agree with you, nowadays flights are cheap...

I'd point out that not everyone is sold on one pedal driving (I am), "driving itself" is a bit of an exaggeration for the state of ADAS vs. level 5 autonomy and most of the EV models for sale right now don't have ADAS, and lots of ICE car models do and then on reliability, the jury is still out...

I don't know. But if he didn't that would explain it - because I pulled up plugshare while I was typing that post and I agree with you that there are some fast DC chargers along the route... Particularly the one in Marina just north of Monterey.

Well, it's maybe incorrect of me to call it an EV. It's a 2010 Toyota Prius that I modified myself with a kit to install a 4kWh LiFePo plug-in battery turning it into a plug-in hybrid EV. It runs in pure EV mode as long as I stay below 45 mph and don't accelerate too hard. Above that speed...

So I'm an enthusiastic EV driver and I'm kind of with the naysayers on this. I think it's an exciting time for EV's but I don't think we are near any kind of tipping point. I reserved a Tesla Model 3 - and according to their website I'm supposed to get mine in the next 100 days so my EV cred...

Benchmark your computer with Handbrake 1.01 and x265

Yeah, my previous computer before my current one was a 4770K as well and I had a similar experience. I t could run at 4.1GHz before I delidded (at close to stock voltage) and got about 200MHz by delidding it.
