. . . as in thanks for the idea but they did not work.
HOWEVER, i updated the firmware on the adapter and now everything works great, both eyefinity and crossfire!
I am having Triple monitor fun. I have 3 HP 2311x monitors with a Sapphire 6850 (2 DVI, 1 HDMI, and 1 displayport)

Does anybody have a recommendation for an esata card, cheap? I hate spend $30 for a card when I spent $58 for the motherboard. I do not need anything fancy . . . minimum would be 1 external esata port, pcie x1. Any other ports would be a bonus. Thanks.
I am currently rebuilding/upgrading my current system and I am planning to reinstall XP (32) to take advantage of the X2 CPU. I have a couple more drives to put in the system as well. The system will be used primarily for Autocad and testing out Revit. I know the system seems under powered...
Has anyone done this yet? Do I just bring in the printer, or do I need the ink cartridges, cord, manuals . . . I got a really good deal online on an Epson Workforce 1100 (boy those wide format printers are big). I am either going to take in a HP PSC 750 or an HP Photosmart 7350. Its funny...
Exactly. It has to be a problem with the drive itself not with the bios/ motherboard/ Windows. I'll try the drive on a different computer or maybe with ATA card.
Anyone want to buy a 180/ 138 gig hard drive ;)
No the drive is not mislabled . . . I have run this drive both internally and externally at 180 gigs.
Is there firmware on the drive. Can this get messed up?
Yes . . . still 137 on the bios, 128.00 in Windows. I've installed/ formatted a million (Ok, thats a lie, 912) hard drives and have never run into this before.
Jumper . . . on the motherboard? It cant be that because my Maxtor 200 gig reads fine (189.xx gigs). The only jumpers on the drive are for Master, Slave, Cable select -- and I have tried all of them.
