PSU With >8 SATA Connectors

I prefer to use the SATA connectors because it makes cabling look neater. Molex connectors are always on the far right which makes it harder to conceal, whereas the SATA power connector is behind(if ur looking @ it from the right) the SATA connector. I've never had any connectors break or fall...

Awesome, thanks a lot man. My only concern with these is reliability. I've read that modular PSUs can be pretty iffy(lot of voltage variation on the lines). I actually have a friend though who just bought the Antec and he seems to be doing fine. My only worry with these multiple rail PSUs is...

So I'm looking for a PSU that can handle ~9 hard drives, all SATA plus a SATA CD Drive (10SATA Connectors total, but I could live with 9). From the somewhat extensive research and my own personal knowledge (~10yrs), it looks like my only choice is PPC&C. The only problem is that the only PSU...

hd htpc?

I have a basic guide on building computers... A HD HTPC will prolly be pretty tricky. Unless you live in Europe or Asia, theres nothing that I know of that will capture HDTV. All current US solutions only capture over the air broadcasts(could be wrong about this). If I were you tho, I'd plan...

So what did I screw up?

Does it make any beeps? Sometimes, if somethings wrong, the BIOS will be able to give a few beeps, which will give us a few answers. Check your RAM placement as well. I've never known it to cause this severe of a problem however. I'd double check your front connector panel... Man, this...

So what did I screw up?

Can you get into your BIOS at all? If so, you might wanna check some of the settings. RAM settings and boot priority is the only thing coming to mind now...

So what did I screw up?

so what do you have hooked up to your computer(hard drive/ optical drive wise, and what type of connectors-PATA<-(check jumper settings) or SATA)? This is a really interesting problem... Try powering up w/o the CD drive plugged into the mobo.

interesting... what system are you running, and what is ur PSU rated at? Also, are you running a mobo with the newer 24 pin ATX connector and a PSU with a 20 pin ATX connector?

Motherboard or memory to blame?

i'd check to make sure you have the latest bios revision. If the CAS2.5 RAM isn't working, you could try to set the timings higher. This should help stability. As for the CAS3 ram you mentioned... not sure.... could be a BIOS problem...

I screwed up.

There is software out there that you can try to get the data back with. You will need to hook her drive into another computer however(you can't use these titles while booting off of the same drive). GOogle data recovery software, and you should find a few things. I did a few years back, but @...

Need Help

a blinking cursor is usually caused by a boot problem. Sounds like your hard drive might have some problems. Could be a bad boot file, or incorrect boot setting. Have you recently changed your setup recently? Heres a guide on repairing the boot file on your hd...

Memtest86 Stable But XP BSODs

i've found that i can run it @ 2-3-3-6, so it seems taht my problem is that I can't run at anything else than CL2. Any idea as to what could be causing this?
