That's great and all. I just wish they can come up with a solution that doesn't blur the textures and text so much. Right now I prefer using higher resolutions without AA. I can't stand the blurring effect of NVIDIA's AA.
Instead of buying all those Stealth fans you should have invested in a Rheobus or Baybus and used it with your old fans. You seem obsessed with quiet so, this way you can choose your level of comfort.
That's idiotic IMO. Who the hell has a case temp of 40C. I guess people on the equator with no AC would have that. This is the reason why the PSU is so quiet. The fans never speed up because the temperature trigger is set too high.
You can watch full screen with PIP also. I was going to get this just for the remote, but there is no mention of stereo decoding. So I'll just stick with my Hauppauge WinTV dbx stereo/fm.
I'd put both hds on the promise controller, Maxtor on primary and IBM on secondary. If you have a cdrom/dvdrom and a cdrw, put one on the primary and the other on the secondary channel on your mb controller. This way each device has their own IDE channel. This will optimize data transfer...
Any primary partition will show up before any extended or logical partition, even if the primary partition is on a separate slave HD. So after you re-install or ghost your C: partition onto your new HD, fdisk the old one and create extended and logical partitions only.
I had a pp303x that wouldn't power a TBird 1.4Ghz. But others had better luck than I. If they carry the 840sx (w/400w PSU) I'd get that over the 830sx.
