A10-7850K or i7-4770k for computational tasks

Hey, I was wondering which is the best of the two for computational stuff? Am I correct in thinking that because of the AMD chip supporting HSA, and OpenCL 2.0, that it will perform better in such tasks? It seems it also supports higher ram speed etc, looking at this comparison? Thanks...

With all the hoopla on how Kitkat was intended for low spec phones...

I think it was just a lie to be honest, because of the (minor) threat of Windows Phone which runs well on lower-end hardware.
